Full-size scale test cars were used to calibrate track scales and were reweighed regularly at a railroad's shop, making this small car a natural fit on a yard siding or an industry spur and a good excuse for added switching moves. It works well displayed on a spur or folded into an operating session.

A diecast body gives the 920-105301 plenty of weight, and it carries road-name-specific details including side and top access doors, wheel bearings and hand brake type. Factory-installed wire grab irons and multiple photo-etched brass placards follow the prototype, while 33 scale inch RP-25 turned metal wheels and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers complete the car. Distinctive features for this road number include a power hand brake, exposed wheel bearings, a replacement top cover and round side doors with a release latch bar. It can also serve as a load for Walthers Proto or Walthers Mainline flatcars.

Key Features:
- HO scale (1:87) scale test car
- Item 920-105301 from Walthers Proto
- Burlington Northern #979004
- Diecast body for maximum weight
- Road-name-specific access doors, wheel bearings and hand brake
- Factory-installed wire grab irons and photo-etched brass placards
- Power hand brake, exposed wheel bearings and round side doors with release latch bar
- 33 scale inch RP-25 turned metal wheels
- Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers
- Can be used as a flatcar load
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0644/9371/5706/files/920-105301_ebd15f88-0185-471d-9216-4b18287b8251.jpg?v=1787634801
https://blackforesthobby.com/products/walthers-proto-920-105301-ho-scale-scale-test-car-burlington-northern-979004
