It hauls a bogie end-wall wagon fitted with a brakeman's platform and a wood load, the wagon measuring 70 mm (2-3/4 in.) long. Supplied as a complete ready-to-run system rather than a kit, it needs only batteries to begin operating in a small space.

The set 12011 includes a full track oval of 8 curved sections of 115 mm (4-1/2 in.) radius, one straight and one connector track each 133.2 mm (5-1/4 in.) long, plus a battery box with a forward/reverse/stop switch. The Feldbahn rails carry an integrated metal insert that raises the wheels' contact pressure for reliable pickup and strong, jerk-free running. The track oval fits in about 14-3/4 x 10-7/16 in. (375 x 265 mm). It runs on two 1.5 V AA batteries (not included) or a 3 V DC supply, giving long battery life.
