Designed for Epoch I scenes and suitable for both steam and catenary (overhead-wire) operation, it gives a tunnel mouth an authentic, hand-cut masonry appearance and coordinates with matching Faller wall and portal products (such as 170886 and 170862) to build a complete tunnel setting.

This is a ready-to-use scenic component rather than a plastic construction kit. The portal carries a Faller-listed key dimension of approximately 2 in. (51 mm) and installs quickly at the entrance to a tunnel or cutting, where it can be painted and weathered to blend with surrounding rockwork.
