The Kadee 1785 is a #1 Scale coupler conversion for the USA Trains EMD GP7 and GP9 diesel locomotives, fitting both the pilot and tender ends with large offset couplers on truck mount type gearboxes. The large offset sets the coupler to the correct height for these models, while the truck-mounted gearboxes let the couplers follow the trucks through curves. The 1785 is packaged as one pair.

Each 1785 set includes two couplers, two draft gear boxes, two gear box lids, five #861 coupler centering springs, one #860 G-Scale or #1875 1-Scale knuckle spring, two bushings, four plastic stops, two flat angle springs, and two #2 x 3/8" screws. This full hardware selection makes the 1785 a purpose-built Kadee coupling upgrade for the USA Trains GP7 and GP9.
