Beneath the car a spring-loaded abrasive pad gently polishes the top of each rail as the car rolls, helping keep electrical pickup clean without scratching the railhead. Item 931-1755 rides on RP-25 metal wheelsets and body-mounted magnetic knuckle couplers built to National Model Railroad Association standards, so it tracks reliably on Code 70 and larger rail and works with almost any North American HO railroad.
