Thin profile ties on the 948-83033 are molded in realistic dark brown with enhanced wood grain detail, and each tie carries fine molded spike and tie plate detail with spike-mounting holes beside the rail and starter points underneath for track nails. As a DCC-friendly turnout it includes snap-action points, solid rail points for better conductivity, isolated frogs with a built-in jumper, current jumpers at the frog, and an insulated tie bar.
