The Navara nameplate traces back to Kaishinsha Motorcar Works, founded in Tokyo in 1911; the firm adopted the Nissan name in 1934 and grew into Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Unveiled at the 2015 IAA, this fourth-generation (D231) one-ton pickup replaced the third generation and reached German showrooms in January 2016.
