The train connected Washington DC with Cincinnati with connecting service to New York and St. Louis and offered passengers one of the most scenic if not direct routes between those points. Of course, it was also the best way to arrive in style at the C&O's own Greenbrier Resort. Initially led by spotless F-19 Pacifics, the George Washington always rated the best of steam and diesel power. When the train was modernized in 1946, many of the original cars retained their names and function. Last offered in 2007, don't miss your opportunity to add C&O's finest to your roster! These 18" passenger cars are the perfect complement to the F-19 Pacifics and include a mix of coach and sleeping accommodations along with a StationSounds diner to complete the full travel experience.
