This three-piece set covers the idler gears that pass motion through the six-wheel gearbox. It is specified for starter set saddletank locomotives; separately-sold Moguls, Camelbacks and stand-alone saddletank locos instead use part 36183, so confirm which loco you are servicing before fitting item 36181. Having the correct gears at hand makes a gearbox overhaul a straightforward bench task.
