The Piko 36540 is a G Scale SmartSound Decoder Kit XP 5.1 for the V100/BR199, part of the latest decoder generation from Piko known as the PIKO SmartDecoder, or PSD. The 36540 offers the passionate model railroader a wealth of attractive features, including support for all common data formats such as RailComPlus and Motorola, plug and play registration with suitable digital control centers, and auto-adaptive motor control. It brings both refined control and rich sound to the V100/BR199 on a large scale layout.

The decoder offers extended function mapping up to F68 and decoder-internal bidirectional coupling for sound-dependent control of the motor and individual function outputs. It delivers special sound experiences over eight channels with a duration of up to eight minutes, backed by innovative power management for trouble-free operation and improved temperature distribution for longer service life. The 36540 also supports all common braking distance modes as well as ABC slow speed and ABC shuttle train automatic modes.
