The Walthers Mainline 910-21402 EMD F7 is a single powered A unit for HO layouts, decorated for Bessemer & Lake Erie #718A. First built by EMD in 1949, the F7 became one of the most common cab units in North America, working freight and passenger trains into the 1980s. This limited, one-time run captures a later scheme of the kind carried by heritage and executive units that several roads rebuilt for public-relations service. Factory-installed handrails and crisp paint make it ready to run straight from the box.

This 910-21402 carries an ESU sound decoder that works on both DCC and DC, with full DCC compatibility, 14, 28 and 128 speed steps and four function outputs adjustable by CV. Its sound package covers a full 8-notch prime mover, four air horns and two bells changeable by CV, compressor, dynamic brake and multiple lighting effects, along with constant and directional lighting. The mechanism matches WalthersProto locomotives, with a five-pole skew-wound motor, 14:1 gear ratio, helical-cut gears, all-wheel drive and pickup, dual machined brass flywheels and a die-cast chassis, running on RP-25 metal wheels with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers.
