Add flexible 1920s-through-1950s freight equipment to your HO railroad with the Walthers Mainline 910-40703, a 40' American Railroad Association (ARA) single sheathed boxcar decorated for Santa Fe. As steel parts became easier to obtain, car builders and railroads adopted them in place of all-wood construction to produce a more durable car, and outside-braced boxcars like this remained common from the 1920s into the 1950s.

Item 910-40703 is lettered for Santa Fe and carries road number 124350, and it comes ready to run for immediate service. Detailed "wood" sides with "steel" bracing, Murphy ends, and a flat steel roof capture the prototype, while correct 33" turned metal RP-25 wheelsets and Proto MAX magnetic metal knuckle couplers let it run smoothly behind steam or early diesel locomotives. These road numbers are a one-time run offered in limited quantities.
