Bring diesel-era authenticity to your HO scale layout with the Walthers Mainline 910-45216 40' ACF Welded Boxcar equipped with an 8' Youngstown door. American Car and Foundry brought out this wider-door design in the late 1950s, and shippers and receivers quickly favored the larger opening because it sped up loading and unloading by forklift. Because many of these cars remained in freight service into the 1980s, they suit a broad range of modeling eras.

Finished in Norfolk & Western colors as road number 390004, this ready-to-run model reproduces the car's distinctive 10-panel welded body, 8' Youngstown door, late Stanray 4/4 improved Dreadnaught ends, and Stanray diagonal panel roof. Apex see-through steel running boards, accurate 33" turned metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers complete item 910-45216, which is produced as a one-time run of these road numbers.
