The full-size prototypes entered service in 1968 and stayed at work into the 1970s, their open sides built to move light trucks and other larger vehicles. This one-time run of road numbers is offered in limited quantity.

Ready to run right out of the box, item 910-8044 carries a factory-installed Paragon II style rack over a die-cast metal underframe for improved performance. A swinging drawbar allows operation on 24" radius curves, and the car can represent early service with bridge plates or later versions without them. Correct 33" RP-25 turned metal wheelsets on 70-ton roller bearing trucks, retooled underbody details, and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers complete this Walthers Mainline model, finished in period paint and lettering.
