The ES44 name identifies an Evolution Series machine producing 4,400 horsepower, and the prototypes have served in large numbers from 2005 to today.

Finished for CSX #1869 (Chesapeake & Ohio Heritage), the 910-10226 reproduces the correct radiator grille profile and roof-top walkway surface detail while rolling on six powered axles. LED lighting provides a high or low headlight to suit the prototype along with working front ditch lights. The model shares the drive found in Walthers Mainline premium diesels and runs on Standard DC. This is a limited, one-time run of these road numbers, and the 910-10226 handles 18" radius curves, with 22" or wider preferred.
