By the late 1920s, stamped steel Dreadnaught ends were being applied to extend the service life of older single sheathed, outside-braced wood boxcars. These versatile cars turned up everywhere, carrying everything from manufactured goods and machinery to bagged feed.

Many of these veterans stayed on the rails into the early 1970s, making the car a good fit for a wide range of eras and roads. The model features wood running boards, a ribbed steel roof, and the distinctive stamped Dreadnaught end detail. Item 910-40352 rolls on correct 33" turned metal wheelsets and is fitted with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. This is a limited edition, one-time run of these road numbers.
