The Walthers Proto 920-110080 is an HO scale 45' Difco Dump Car, ready to run and decorated for Union Pacific as road number 998026. Often described as railroading's answer to the dump truck, the prototype carries up to 100 tons and uses large pneumatic cylinders working a set of side drop doors to unload either to the left or right of the track, ideal for placing ballast, rip-rap and fill along the right of way.

In service from the 1960s to the present, Difco cars turn up in work trains and revenue assignments alike, hauling sand, gravel, cinders, coal, limestone and other loose bulk loads. The 920-110080 captures that utilitarian character with factory-installed grab irons and a detailed underbody complete with pneumatic cylinders and brake gear, and it is offered as a limited, one-time run of these road numbers. Ultra-smooth-rolling metal axles, 36" wheelsets and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers ready it for immediate use.
