The Walthers Proto 920-50507 HO Scale EMD NW2 DC in NYC #8755 is a ready-to-run DC model of EMD's most successful switcher design, with over 1,100 NW2s built between 1939 and 1949. The NW2 became the standard yard switcher across North American railroads. The NYC used NW2s in classification yards across its extensive eastern network. Features DC power, LED lighting, separately applied details, correct switcher trucks, RP-25 metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. DCC-ready for decoder installation.
