The Walthers Proto 920-11301 HO Scale 85' Budd Viewliner I Sleeper in Amtrak Phase IV road number #62006. The prototype Viewliner Sleepers were designed in the late 1980s to replace aging heritage equipment on eastern routes where tunnel clearance issues prevent use of bi-level Superliner cars. Production units were built by Amerail/Morrison-Knudsen and entered service in 1995. Cars feature roomettes, bedrooms, and an accessible bedroom - still easily identified by their signature double row of windows. Car #62006 is one of the original 1995 production delivery sleepers. Features improved tooling with full interior, improved diaphragms, GSI metal trucks for electrical pickup, factory-installed wire grab irons, detailed underbody, correct 36" RP-25 turned metal wheels, and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. Minimum 24" radius recommended.
